From Feminism to a jump towards Hipanics.

Hi Mrs. Boland. ( i know you'll be one to read this)
Well i took the idea from feminism and the whole retribution of fitting in society
and did this paper instead on Hispanics. In this i found one of the greatest influence
which as we all know it was the Treaty of Hidalgo. Many things came out of this great event which caused a great divided between people, which is still most evident today, with our immigration issues as well as citizenship views. There is much spoken of in this paper, to where we begin to divide the line of victim and doing something about it. Hope i didnt change it up too much on you.
We are the day before our last classand i can't help but to think of what i got out of this class. I've learned to write withoutthink lopsided, in one fixated way. There has been a point in time where i hit a real writer's wall. I though i couldn't write any more, but telling a first person story on theh subject really helps alot. There i find myself in the issue and where i stand even though its not in the far left or right, but somewhere leaneant on one side. I really appreaciated this class and the style developed while taking it.

Suburbia

So this essay topic has been going on for about the whole quarter. We have spoken of all these articles giving us different views on a familiar topic. All of this has lead us to this essay and its so scary because we will be judged by this and more. On tuesday we mrs. boland will know if we truly have read all the articles and analyzed them. But all together it feels like the journey was cool, we became aware of something so far away from our mental grasps "social urbanism", i mean come on?
So where i stand at this point is that i think its just a process, not everything is going to be completely done. We are people trying to step into the right path. Awareness is the key think we must all need to become aware of.

Tragedy or Prevention

This topic speech that kunstler presents feels like the economic state of a recession, is this happening today or are we simply presenting it this way in order to get a responce. Prevention is a method to stoppoing something which it feels like, we are not in a tragic ending but in beginning stages of it. If we simply wait for a recession to happen we are drowned out no matter what but in this way we have a chance against the odds. We can win as citizens in this country, we have to make the right choices and be responsible. I dont know if any of you guys saw it this way but it is very clever to interpret it.
Kunstler is unique in the way he presents this to us, making us listen to what he has to say. Many of his techniques are unorthedox, making it appealing and leaving us with a responce to it. This guy has brough a light bulb in at least my head left me with the words in my mouth for the essay we are currently writing in our english class.

Enviornment

Even though people come out of horrible situations, there is a positve to it. From it springs an appreciation and thrive for life, a rebirth. Enviornment plays a third party influence in our daily lives, which tells us how much we are to spend, and how good of savings bond we can keep. Geography in a sence sets us up for a fixed future to a certain extent, it tells us a general idea of things. I believe that influences just as enviornment can be over come though, coming to college as the first generation, i am proof it. There is a bacteria that can consume you which can play into your decisions, but the voice to argue with reason and be able to make rational decisions.

Much of our classroom disscussions spring from a general idea being made into a thesis, which is what we are programmed to do, see what is the RIGHT idea and what is the ONE thing being projected. But in fact the way we read our collegiate articles we have to read more extensively and see what the author tries to reach out on and touch not just persuade. I think concepts are more intricate than one meaning and path. We need to open our periphial eyes.

tragedy in suburbia

My community is tightly packed and it has identical houses in streets over and behind it. The community has a pretty gossipy neighbors. The sense on my block makes you feel like you can't stay there, you have to work elsewhere or go elsewhere to enjoy yourself. My neighborhood is like a rest-stop. You can come visit, but you won't stay for long. Nature appears in a exact location, making it man made.

Tamale dinners for a week straight

From loud mexican music,
And Tecate.
Domestic disputes and
Embarrassing family outings.
